FINALLY Snowman Snow :)

So....I've been hearing for the longest time, "MOMMY, I want to make a snowman!!!" But, unfortunately, the snow hasn't been cooperating - too fluffy, too powdery, crusty on top, etc. Well, today, since it's in the 40's, we were able to get some good packing snow.

And since we've been waiting so long, why not make 4 snow"men" or a Mr. and Mrs., child, and dog? Yes, why not?

The kids thought the dog needed some "fur" so they plopped a bunch of grass on it, and the mom's head, and the kid's head for hair! (Thank goodness it's not an inside dog - look at all the shedding! ;)

"Thank you, squirrels!" was Mikaela response to finding the perfect corn cob nose for Mrs.

Don't I wish this was how they acted all the time? (Don't worry, we had a lovely fight when we came inside for nap ;)

Easter Egg Hunt with Surprise Guest!

Happy Easter to you all!

Yesterday, we dyed our Easter eggs which both kids absolutely loved doing (of course!) Aiden wanted to keep going even when his eggs were gone - he would have been happy to dip the already colored eggs back in!

Then, this morning was a great treat for our family. The Easter Bunny was busy last night and left eggs all around the house for the kids to find.

After that, we discovered that the Easter Bunny also left eggs hidden in our front garden area that Mommy and Daddy didn't know about. Sneaky Bunny!

But not as sneaky as this little critter below:

As we looked on in astonishment, this squirrel took one of the bright pink eggs from the planter and tried to open it and eat it. Finding it too difficult, he decided to bury it and try again later. Even knowing that it was there, Andy found it difficult to locate because as you can tell from the picture, he buried it well:

Later, the kids enjoyed pretending to be Easter Bunnies and re-hiding all the eggs for each other to find.

We still can't believe what that squirrel did! I'm pretty sure that that was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

(Andy tells me that it's in his top 10 - the funniest he can remember is when a dog was chasing the car he was travelling in only to run into the tail pipe of a parked car while in pursuit. Boing! He said it took him months to be able to tell the story without laughing hysterically...)
