Windmills Everywhere!

So, we made it to MN on Friday - we drove through fog, sleet, and icy roads to get here. Thankfully our family was willing to wait for us! It was so good to see everyone even if it was not for a super long time.

We were so thankful to get to meet our new nephew and new niece - and hold them too! Pictures are just not the same as seeing little ones (and adults too :) in person.

Right now we are just relaxing. Andy is watching football with Dad - which he was looking forward to doing for a while and even received the coveted nap-while-still-"watching"-the-game
earlier today. :) We were able to do a little shopping this afternoon just the two of us since Grandma and Grandpa were able to watch Mikaela and Aiden for us while we took a couple hours to ourselves. We only went to Wal-mart (it was a new one) but it was much needed time away from the kids!

As for the title of this post - Andy was marveling over the vast amount of windmills that have gone up in this area over the past few years. Everywhere you look there are turbines spinning, and at night it looks like the lights of a giant city in the distance because there are red blinking lights on the horizon in pretty much every direction. We are going to try to get some footage of this for his fellow co-workers. Apparently he thinks the engineers might be interested...and I think he's right...

As a side note, as I'm posting this I can hear the sleet pelting against our house...it's a warm 32 degrees at the moment...perfect for freezing rain...

Bell Choir Video

Finally after getting the audio to sync with the video we were able to post the bell choir portion of the Christmas program! Had something to do with the "fade in" feature on the video...this one is also cute :)

First Posting Ever

Hi all, This is our first attempt at blogging. We are hoping to be able to share pictures and videos of our family with you. Maybe this way we can feel a little more connected even though we may be many miles apart. Last Sunday Mikaela was in the Christmas program at our church - Freedom Christian Assembly of God. We loved watching her play the bells and sing. We will attempt to upload the videos for you to see. Enjoy!



Although we were really looking forward to spending time with family, it looks as though we will not make it to MN for Christmas. We had hoped to meet our newest additions to the family - Ian & Lillian - but for now it seems we will have to be content with pictures and video from afar...
